Michael Capaldi’s deep experience as a real estate and finance attorney, coupled with his experience as a developer, offers unique value in establishing and driving vision and strategy, capital formation, investor relations, growth, and profitability as the CEO of BrightHome. A specialist in complex transactions, and a Partner with Frost, Brown, Todd, a full-service national law firm, Michael has guided financial organizations, institutional and entrepreneurial developers, property owners, and investors through intricate asset acquisitions and dispositions. His experience extends to the sensitive planning and entitlement stages of property development, commercial leasing, and sophisticated equity and debt financing.

Having structured and closed hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions over the past 30 years, most of those in California, Michael brings extensive knowledge of the state’s regulatory environment to every project. Through his many years of leadership in the prominent Lincoln Club of Orange County, Michael has established strong long-term relationships with statewide, county, and local government influencers. He earned both a bachelor’s degree in history and a juris doctorate degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.

Bob Kim is a highly knowledgeable, experienced, and accomplished real estate developer. He has acquired, developed, planned, entitled, project-managed, financed, and/or overseen the construction of more than $1 billion in both income and for-sale commercial and residential properties in California. He has a unique ability to move multi-faceted projects forward efficiently and with a keen focus on detail.

As co-founder and President of BrightHome, Bob is responsible for executing growth strategy, including financial operations, property sourcing, acquisition, entitlement, design, and development or disposition of projects. Prior to co-founding BrightHome, Bob was a professional in the real estate departments of Weyerhaeuser and PepsiCo where he gained invaluable experience analyzing, underwriting, and managing all aspects of real estate projects. He also served on the real estate teams of Kaufman & Broad and BRE properties. Bob earned a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in real estate development from the University of Southern California.

Cathy Davisson-Capaldi is a business development, marketing and communications executive with a decades-long history of securing business-to-business partnerships, investor recruitment and relations, community engagement and support initiatives, and all aspects of strategic corporate communications with internal and external audiences.

As COO for BrightHome, Cathy oversees day-to-day operations, supports growth initiatives, assists with broker and investor relations, and drives communication strategy for brokers, investors, external partners, and communities targeted for development. Cathy has experience navigating the community relations aspects of real estate entitlement, most recently securing community support and leading public relations for the entitlement of a 250 active-adult community in San Clemente and a four-story 168,000 square foot health facility in Fountain Valley, California. Cathy provided leadership to MemorialCare Health System for more than 20 years, most recently as SVP Chief Marketing and Communications officer. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from the University of Southern California.
